Legendary director/performer John Cameron Mitchell (Hedwig and the Angry Inch) and sensational cabaret goddess Mx. Justin VivIan Bond (Shortbus) will headline the third annual "Out in the Woods" Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender (LGBT) music festival at Easton Mountain Retreat Center in the beautiful rolling hills of upstate New York on August 10th. Scroll down for a look at this year's performers!

The day long event will raise money to support Easton's LGBT youth programming. Under the auspices of emcee Reverend Yolanda (who describes herself as the would-be alien lovechild of Tammy Fay Baker and John Waters), this year's lineup will feature 17 diverse artists and 8+ full hours of live outdoor performances from John Kelly, Namoli Brennett, Rachael Sage, Freddy Freeman, Gary Wayne Ferris, Sister Funk, Jorge Avila, Nhojj, Martin Swinger, Sean Kagalis, Jay Saturn with Nikkita, Brett Avery, and Justin Vahalla. Between performances, guests are invited to check out vendor booths, explore the vast grounds, and come to a community bonfire the night of the festival. And for guests who want more, weekend packages are available which include a Friday night dance party (hosted by John Cameron Mitchell and friends), access to VIP areas, and a Sunday jam brunch with the artists.

For the last eight years, Easton Mountain has hosted residential summer camps for over 100 LGBT young people from the NYC and Boston areas. These programs bring young people together for a week of facilitated workshops that foster community building, leadership training, and creative self-expression. This year, "Out in the Woods" will benefit a new Easton summer program for aspiring young artists and performers designed to help participants explore their own unique creative process and unleash their unique artistic potentials as LGBT people. Proceeds from "Out in the Woods" will be used to cover the baseline cost of this program and provide scholarships to young LGBT artists who cannot otherwise afford to attend.
