True to its commitment to developing new American plays and musicals, the Hangar Theatre is proud to present an exclusive workshop of Between Time and Timbuktu - a new musical adaption Kurt Vonnegut's teleplay, based on some of his most famous stories. Written by AnDrew Barrett (Book and Lyrics) and Ira Antelis (Music) and directed by Hangar Artistic director Peter Flynn, Between Time and Timbuktu will be on Friday, November 18th at 7 PM and Saturday, November, 19th at 2 PM.

STony Stevenson is the first American civilian to be sent alone into outer space, having written the winning jingle for Blast-Off Space Food. Traveling far away from the home and mother he loves, Stony meets a collection of Vonnegut's most theatrical and compelling characters, searching for the answers to questions we ourselves ask: Why was I born? Do I matter? What am I meant to do with my life?

Flynn states, "The Hangar has a proud history of bringing writers to Ithaca to hone their craft and develop their work. Providing space, time, and resources for Between Time and Timbuktu continues our legacy of local interest supporting national growth and awareness. Andrew and Ira are wonderful American writers and the Hangar is providing a safe space in which to explore new work in its Early Stages, giving them a chance to take what they learn and strengthen their piece for the next stage of development. We invite and encourage our wonderful Hangar audiences to come be a part of this exciting creative process and gain insight into how a new musical takes shape."

The cast features many Broadway and Hangar vets: Adinah Alexander (Wicked), Steven Booth (Glory Days), Julian Brightman (Hello, Dolly, Hangar's Beauty and the Beast), Alma Cuervo (Cabaret, Titanic, The Hangar's Shirley Valentine), Jerry Dixon (Once on this Island, Tick, Tick, BOOM!)
